Hey - I just read your story and interview you did with sweat365.com. I have been over to your blog several times and you are one of my friends here at sweat365, but I had no idea that you had such a compelling story!

I just wrote a post titled Have a compelling story. I’m going back to edit that post and include a link to your story. That is a wonderful story. I appreciate that you focused on lifestyle choices and wasn’t consumed by dieting plans. A lifestyle change implies long term changes, and I’m glad that you are now trying out a triathlon!

Thanks for sharing.

Hi,
Thanks for your support - it really helps.

Maybe I am being a bit generous with my Tri time of 1hr 30. When I get my bike in the new year I’ll do a time trial and see how I fare. I think I’ll adjust my goal after that.

Hope all is well, Alex

Just saw your “dead iPod battery” comment on my post and bounced over to your page here.
Read your story of your transformation in the past couple of years - great work. Your summer event schedule is very similar to mine, half marathon, olympic and shorter tris working up to a half ironman. Sometimes I feel that I’ll be ready for that 70.3 and other times I think “no way.” But it helps to keep that as the goal for the year.

Good luck in event #1 this weekend - half marathon is a nice distance and completing it assures you that you are able to run 13.1 (just need to do it after swimming 1.2 and biking 56). Keep up the good work!
