class fills up quick
by 5:20 this morning all of the bikes were “accounted” for in the Y’s spin class. And when I left at 6:50 the parking lot was full. I’m not sure if it was people feeling guilty about their Halloween “pleasures” or people “prepping” for the upcoming Holidays.
As much as it makes me happy that people are out getting fit, or at least moving more, its sort of a pain when the things/places you enjoy doing/going are all full.
Such are the times.

Thanks for dragging my butt outta bed
Even with the “Extra hour” of sleep this morning, which I needed because I had forgotten to set my alarm, I still had to drag my butt outta bed. And since yesterday I was a no show, I couldn’t do that two days in a row. Ran surprisingly well considering the head cold I’ve got going on.
I still don’t like running that much, but it is slowly getting more entertaining. The thing that I do like about it is that if you do a Point A to Point B run, once you get to Point B, you’ve GOT to make it back to Point A and the only person you can rely on to get back to Point A is yourself.
Thanks M and S for getting me outta bed today! I appreciate it. Days that I run, or sweat first thing in the morning are always the best days.

its all about the glide…
Thanks D for this Glide workout! I put Mitch and Shelley through the trenches with it!
400 yrd warm up, 100 meter total of no free
6 x 50 Kick w/ 15 sec rest after each 50
- 2×50 Front w/glide
- 2×50 left side
- 2×50 right side
6 x 50 pull w/ 15 sec rest after each 50
6 x 50 stroke w/ 15 sec rest after each 50
- 2×50 2 sec hesitation
- 2×50 finger drag
- 2×50 catch up
200 cool down. (I added an additional 50 just for fun).
The nice thing about this workout is that it truly is about the glide. During my cool down I could really tell I was reaching and smooth.
A perfect way to start Halloween!
